The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and the Alpha Beta Lambda Education Foundation works collectively to raise money that supports the educational endeavors of those young men aspiring to pursue higher education. Having supported students since 1998, we strive to seek out those who have demonstrated their potential, letting them know that it is our goal to support them financially and personally. Please note that females are eligible for all scholarships, except for the 4-year scholarship specifically for African-American males.

ACADEMIC

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION –
APRIL 1, 2026
The Alpha Beta Lambda Education Foundation Inc. offers scholarships to African-American males who plan to attend a four-year college/university. Applications are reviewed by the Fraternity’s scholarship committee to recommend scholarship winners for the upcoming academic year. A student will officially be awarded $1,250 each semester upon the student’s enrollment in the 4-year college or university of their choice. A member of the scholarship committee maintains contact with and mentors each student during his college career.

EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT

The Educational Enrichment Scholarship funds are to be used by a currently enrolled student pursuing opportunities such as: a study abroad experience, funds to attend a professional development conference, participating in a student leadership training, etc.

The Gap Scholarship funds are to be used to assist students in offsetting the cost of educational expenses such as tuition, books, fees, housing, course supplies and other resources. Open to ladies, as well as men.

The El-Amin Student Partnership Scholarship provides essential support to students facing unexpected challenges, helping them pursue their educational dreams.

HENRY TANDY REMOVING BARRIERS

The Foundation offers scholarships to underserved/marginalized males who plan to attend Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC). Applications are reviewed by the Fraternity’s scholarship committee to recommend scholarship winners for the upcoming or current academic year.
